Which soap is the best for eczema?
Our most recommended soap bars for severe eczema are Goat’s Milk & Calendula and Oat & Manuka, as they are both unscented and gentle on the skin. However, Oat & Manuka does have mild exfoliation due to the oat granules through the bar.
What is your main ingredient list?
Extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, castor oil, lye, and organic kokum butter.
All bars include these ingredients to create gentle and moisturising soap.
The additional ingredients may contain anti-bacterial, anti-septic, and/or anti-inflammatory properties to aid and assist targeted issues and concerns.
Why do people like handmade soap?
Handmade soap is beneficial because of its moisturising properties (and more depending on the variety). Many commercial soaps use ingredients that strip the skin’s barrier, causing more irritation and itchiness.
Are handmade soaps better for your skin?
We believe so. Minimal and natural ingredients can accomplish clean and fresh skin, without causing stress from toxic or harsh chemicals and fragrances.
Why is handmade soap so pricey?
Skin Calm soaps are made with high-quality ingredients, time, effort, and care. With only one soap-maker, it is a more expensive (yet rewarding) process when compared to mass-produced products.
